Govt appoints Industrialist Ratan Tata as Trustee

PM CARES FUND: Govt appoints industrial RatanTata as Trustee. Veteran industrial Ratan Tata, former Supreme court judge KTthimas and former deputy Lok sabha speaker Karina Munda have been nominated as Trustee of the PM cares funds. According to the prime minister’s office, veteran industrialist Ratan Tata former Supreme court judge KT Thomas and former deputy Lok Sabha speaker Kariya Munda have been nominated as Trustee of the PM CARES FUNDS.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the PM CARES FUNDS which was attended by Union Finance Minister Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman. Bank Shah and Sitatharaman are the Trustees of PM care FUNDS. During the meeting, it was declared. The PM cares funds were created during the Covid-19 pandemic. The primary objective of the fund is to deal with any emergency or distress situation like poses by the pandemic and to provide relief to the affected individuals.

The fund consists entirely of voluntary contributions from individuals or organizations and does not get any budgetary support. The Prime minister said that the participation of new trustees and advisers would provide broader perspectives on the functioning of the PM CARES FUNDS. Their vast experience of public life would impact further vigor in making the fund more responsive to various general needs. Donations to PM Cares funds would qualify for 80G benefit for 100%exemption under the income tax act as per center data total of 7031 99 crores was collected under PM care funds between 2020to and 2021.

The Prime minister is the ex-official chairman of the PM cares funds, and the minister of defense, minister of home affairs, and minister of finance government of India are exofficio trustees of the funds. During the meeting, a presentation was made on the various initiatives undertaken with the help of the PM cares funds for children scheme, which 4345c children Trustees support appreciated the role played by the fund at a crucial time for the country not only through relief assistance but also by taking mitigation measures and capacity building.

The prime minister is the ex officio chairman of the PM cares funds. Their vast experience of public life would impart further vigor in making the funds more responsive to various general needs.
